WHAT IS IT?
Laser hair removal is a procedure that allows us, with the support of a device that acts directly on the hair follicle, to eliminate unwanted hair from the face and body.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The 808 diode laser hair removal follows the principle of selective photothermolysis: the light beam projected by the technology is transformed into heat and is absorbed by the melanin present inside the hair follicle, causing irreparable damage to the follicle, preventing its regrowth. The Mia 808nm Diode Laser is effective even for the most sensitive skin types. Darker skin (up to phototype 4). Session after session, the hair will grow more slowly and finer, until reaching a defined loss of over 80% of the hair, defining this method as "progressively permanent hair removal."
IS IT SAFE?
To date, there have been no issues related to the long-term safety of laser therapy. Scientific research, in fact, does not suggest any increased risk of cancer, nor does it highlight toxicity or cellular alterations. However, this does not exclude the possibility of adverse effects, even if short-lived: among the most common problems are: Frequent side effects include erythema, pain, and burning.
HOW TO PREPARE THE SKIN FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
To make laser treatment truly effective, it is necessary to follow some simple and important instructions starting a few weeks before the session.
First of all, for the laser beam to detect the hair, it must protrude a few mm from the skin. Furthermore, the skin must be well hydrated and free of irritation, inflammation, or abrasions.
During the treatment, a conductive gel is used to cool the skin and allow for more fluid movement of the handpiece. At the end of the session, however, it is recommended to apply soothing creams to counteract the redness of the skin generated by the laser beam.
